Plan for
success
Without good
plan anything else you do is going to be a waste of time. As
simple as that. You must understand what you want, how you want
it and how you are going to make it happen. So take your time and plan
things out first.
To be honest,
for many new entrepreneurs this could be the hardest part
of starting a business. Well, it is very difficult to plan
things you have never done before…
Please don’t
skip this step - it is well worth your time and efforts! Your business
will run more smoothly if you spend some time thinking
about all the possibilities and planning your way to success. No
successful business could be created without knowing what you
are going to do!
Creating a business plan will force
you to think about key issues before you start your business:
it
sets down your business goals, defines your customers and
competitors, your managing and marketing strategies, helps to
analyze your product or service, points out your strengths and
weaknesses, helps to estimate your expenses and many more.

Planning is bringing the future into the present so
that you can do something about it now.

Concentrating on these issues could help you figure out if your
idea is a winner and help you to avoid starting a bad business.
And remember,
your Business Idea is not your business plan - it's just an
idea. But it becomes a plan after you've defined your market,
studied and researched it; identified what problems or unmet
needs your potential customers have and developed the solution
(product or service) to address these needs; identified your
goals, and figured out exactly
what step
you are going to take to reach these goals.
write a Business Plan
Business
plans can vary enormously. Many books have been written on how
to write an effective business plan and suggest various business
plan formats.
This section will help you get started on the
right foot. You can then go on from here to design plan that
would be ideal for your particular business.
To make it easier, here are several steps that will get you to a
worthwhile plan:
1. business goals
This is a short statement that defines how your business will
look like under ideal conditions. Start with brief and clear
description what product/service you plan to offer then state
your business goals.
What you want to achieve with your business?
How do you plan to growth?
Will you plan to provide employment?
Will you have a partner?
Do you want to include family in your business?
Create
two sets of goals: short term (8-12 months) and long term (2-3
years). Place some reasonable limits on your long-term
projections and expectations. If your business is a start up,
you need to concentrate on your short-term goals and modify the
plan as your business grows.
Too often, long-range planning becomes meaningless because the
reality of your business could be much different from your
initial concept. Just try to keep your goals realistic!
